A note from Griffin the Garden Fairy

Third class children read aloud a very special note from Griffin our Garden Fairy for the younger classes:

Dear Children of Kiltartan School, A special welcome back to you, I’ve watched you play, I’ve seen you grow, The garden’s charm you surely know. To junior infants, bright and new, I loved to see you laugh and view each flower, leaf, and creeping vine— You made that September day so fine! A heartfelt thanks to everyone, Who cared for plants beneath the sun, To parents and children, big and small who weeded and watered over the Summer, You’ve helped the garden thrive for all.  Third class, your hands have done so much, Your care and love are like a touch Of magic in my fairy land, You’ve made my home so bright and grand. Though tiny as a fairy can be, I’m busy as you all can see, Guiding slugs and tending flowers, Riding on the backs of butterflies for hours. I don’t write often, but please understand, I gotta help alotta gardens with my fairy hands, Please know every note you leave for me, I read with joy beneath the tree. When wind blows soft and chimes do play, You’ll know I’m near, not far away, A flutter here, a whisper there, Griffin the Fairy’s everywhere! So as you learn and as you grow, Remember where the flowers blow, I’m watching, helping, always near,

Your garden friend who holds you dear, Griffin.
